Top Strip Casino Operator Provides Combined Stay Deals at These Two Resorts

MGM Resorts International is launching a new two-night all-inclusive stay package for two guests at Luxor and Excalibur. This innovative offering combines lodging, resort fees, three meals a day, a show, parking fees, and access to roller-coaster rides. The package is set to debut on April 6 and represents the first all-inclusive deal ever introduced at a Strip resort.

The cost of the package is $330 plus tax, with no projected end date and no blackout dates. Guests can start booking the package on Wednesday. Mike Neubecker, president and chief operating officer of MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Luxor and Excalibur, emphasized the convenience of this new option. “By bundling hotel, dining, entertainment and parking into a single upfront price, we’re offering guests a convenient, turn-key way to explore our hotels and make new memories without any hassle or surprises,” he said.

This new package targets a demographic that has seen a decline in return visitation according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). A recent visitor profile study highlighted that lower-income visitors are prioritizing necessities over discretionary spending on leisure activities. Steve Hill, LVCVA President and CEO, noted that budget-conscious visitors are making decisions based on their financial situations, which has impacted the demand for discretionary destinations like Las Vegas.

Luxor and Excalibur are considered the MGM properties most likely to appeal to lower-income visitors, while the high-end properties such as Bellagio, Aria, and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas attract a different clientele.

What’s Included

Here’s a detailed breakdown of what is included in the new all-inclusive packages:

  • A two-night stay at Luxor or Excalibur with double occupancy, including all resort fees.
  • Three meals per day per guest, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. These meals can be redeemed at a selection of MGM Resorts restaurants across Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and New York-New York. Dining options include:
  • Tap Sports Bar and The Buffet at Excalibur
  • Diablo’s Cantina, Pyramid Café, Public House, and Backstage Deli at Luxor
  • Tom’s Watch Bar at New York-New York
  • Noodle Shop at Mandalay Bay
  • The MGM Grand Buffet and Tap Sports Bar at MGM Grand

  • Two tickets to one MGM Resorts show per stay, with six distinct options available. Show options include:

  • Blue Man Group, Carrot Top, or “Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease” at Luxor
  • The Australian Bee Gees Show, the Mac King Comedy Magic Show, or “Thunder from Down Under” at Excalibur

  • Two rides on The Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York, one of The Strip’s signature thrill attractions.

  • Self-parking for one vehicle at any MGM Resorts Las Vegas property.

Neubecker mentioned that the development of this package took several months to ensure it was as frictionless as possible. “We’ve tried to solve if somebody wants to come and travel and know exactly what it’s going to cost them,” he said.

Robust Package

Neubecker believes this bundling package is the first of its kind on the Strip, although other resorts have offered similar promotions downtown. “I’ve been here a long time and I can’t remember anything quite like it,” he said. “I would argue this is probably one of the most robust packages. I don’t ever remember anything even remotely close to this at this low of a price point.”

This new package aims to provide a comprehensive and affordable experience for guests looking to enjoy the many attractions of Las Vegas without the stress of managing multiple costs. It reflects MGM Resorts’ commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse range of visitors and enhancing their overall experience.
