According to Loretto CEO Tesa Anewishki, the hospital is prepared to accept more patients from West Suburban.
Shepard, who previously relied on West Suburban for her own medical needs, now faces the challenge of finding a new doctor. She said she is grateful for her current job but is uncertain about what comes next.
Rush Oak Park Hospital has stated that it is ready to handle an increase in patient volume and is confident in its ability to provide safe care for any new or transferred patients. Loyola Medicine also released a statement, indicating that it is in communication with the Illinois Department of Public Health and is prepared to assist in ensuring continuity of care for West Suburban patients.
