Moore Challenges Trump on Gas Prices and Cost-Cut Claims

Governor Wes Moore of Maryland recently voiced concerns regarding the rising cost of gasoline and broader economic challenges, questioning the federal government’s approach to addressing these issues. He also addressed the president’s claim that gas prices could ease in the near term, stating he differs with that outlook. “No, I disagree, because I think the president still does not have a full articulation as to why gas prices are going up in the first place, or what’s going to be necessary or required to be able to bring them down.”

He added that the most effective way to address rising fuel costs would be to avoid prolonged military engagements, stating, “the best thing that we could do to be able to address gas prices is by stop fighting foreign wars.”
